The Play Group Class started from 3rd February 2011 with 28 new enrolled students. The admission process began in January 2011. It was a hard task to visit all the slums of the applicants to verify by our Family Counselor and Jr. Field Officer. The most poor and needy families were short listed.
All the short listed children were called for oral viva-voce by the School authority; later medical tests were taken by the doctors of TDP Health Care. Finally 28 kids got the golden opportunity.
The New kids are very happy to be a part of The Dhaka Project. Their families are also happy. Now they have a regular routine. At 8:30 AM they have breakfast, Milk at 11:00 AM, Lunch at 1:00 PM, a little nap for 2 Hours and Milk at 4:00 PM. Their parents takes their kids from School at 4:30 PM.
Ms. Hosneara, teacher of Play teaches the kids with motherly affection. The new students are also eager to learn. The teaching method is in English. The kids seems to enjoy learning on their very first day.
